The Association of Indians in America (AIA)
Makes an Urgent Appeal

MIAMI, FL September 12, 2001--The Association of Indians in America (AIA) - the oldest (Asian) Indian organization in the United States made an urgent appeal to all its members and the people of Indian heritage to immediately come forward to donate blood and volunteer their services, specially in the medical field, in this time of national tragedy.

The national president of AIA, Dr. Piyush C. Agrawal has requested all Chapter Presidents to take a leading role in this direction.

The Association of Indians in America strongly condemns this barbaric massacre of innocent people. We urge the administration to take all necessary steps to punish the terrorists.

AIA also has urged its members to offer their prayers for the grief-stricken families.
