State Department: Hindu Roundtable

The US Department of State produces two reports annually: one on International Religious Freedom and the other on International Human Rights. These reports are submitted to the US Congress for its use as a resource for policy making purposes. The State Department has established Muslim Roundtable and the Hindu Roundtable with a view to seek input from these groups of US Citizens so that the reports could be more reliable The first meeting of the Hindu Roundtable was held on Friday, March 9, 2001 at the State Department Washington, DC. Dr. Piyush C. Agrawal was invited in his personal capacity (not as President of AIA) to attend the meeting. The Roundtable meetings would be held 3-5 times a year. This information is being shared with you since the deliberations of the Roundtable have significance to India and the US.
